Marla Winters has a Bachelor of Music degree from Brandon University, where she studied violin with Dr. Francis Chaplin. She has specialized in the Suzuki Method of learning music. Marla is currently teaching 30 students in the Brandon Suzuki Talent Education Program as well as the Suzuki Satellite Program in MacGregor, Manitoba. She is also the Music Coordinator at St. George’s Anglican Church in Brandon, Manitoba where she plays piano. Marla is currently studying violin with Professor Kerry DuWors at Brandon University. She enjoys performing violin, adjudicating at festivals and organizing musical events. Marla is honoured to share the joy of music with her students and community. She appreciates how music develops fine character and brings about a life long journey of growth and enjoyment.
Her two daughters (4 and 6 years old) study cello and violin. Marla enjoys spending time with her husband and two little girls. Hobbies include cooking and traveling.
